The Ottomar Story

In 1993 John Ottomar Schnepp graduated from Andrews University where he met his wife Peggy Reed. John and Peggy married and had five children, of whom I am one. My mom and dad served as missionaries in Korea for a few years. And in 1995, my dad began his career as an Electrician. My dad spent years working doing electrical work, both residential and commercial. Over the years, he acquired his Electrical Journeyman license, Master Electrician license, and Electrical Contractors license. He has knowledge in pretty much all of the categories in the trades. Other than electrical, he has experience with heating and cooling, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and more. While growing up, I remember thinking my dad could build anything he wanted, and not only could he build it, but it would look awesome too! He is an artist, inventor, and genius. But aside from all that, when little kid me asked him what he did for a living, he would say he was a "hole digger". His humble, curious character is why he has gained so much knowledge over the years. Since 1995, my dad has worked so hard to provide for his five kids. In 2025 my dad, my family and myself started our own electrical company. My dad gave us the opportunity to choose a name for the company and so the rest of my family decided to name the company after his middle name, Ottomar, as a tribute to him.

We love our dad and are so thankful for all of the years of hard work he has put in to provide for our family.
